Food Security

Monday, 19 May 2014 00:48
According to the report " Food Security", it is a big challenge to meet 9 billion peoples' demand of food nowadays, specially feeding poor people. The annual world grains output can not match with the burgeoning populations because of the problems within "producing, storing, processing, distributing and accessing". As far as I concerned, it's important for both developing and developed countries to adjust the food production mode, improve the farming techniques, reduce the food waste, look for new food source and protect the environment.
First of all, trend to produce some food with horter growing duration and lower planting cost. Adjusting what you produce according to appropriate percentages you got before is a good way to ensure that you can produce more popular and useful food. In addition, bringing local farmer a new production technology for mechanized precision farming is helpful to expand the area of fields and produce more yield gains. Also, using right store techniques is good idea to prevent the food from pests and spoilage. What's more, exploiting new fish stocks can increase the food supply and put downward pressure on land exploitation. Finally, both developed and developing countries should  protect the local environment, pay attention to climate change and prohibit overexploitation of land and other sources.

Question: Can you find any other good actions which is helpful to increase food production?
